Joe Montana garners game MVP. Dwight Clark caught the games first TD pass. But Jeff Fuller made the difference as he intercepts three Saint passes to thwart several key drives. The 49ers defense was stalwart in holding the Saints out of range except for two key passes to Eric Martin. Dave Wilson qb foiught through injury to lead the Saint effort.
