Cleveland 26 Kansas City 23

Matt Bahr
Matt Bahr's 41 yard Field Goal with 1 second left in regulation, lifted the Browns over the Chiefs in their Season opener.
A Cleveland turnover lead to a Kansas City TD late in the Third Quarter and a Nick Lowery 22 yard FG with 7 minutes left in the Fourth Quarter gave the Chiefs a 23 - 21 lead.
With 7 minutes left in for fourth, Gary Danielson replaced the injured Cleveland QB Bernie Kosar and marched the Browns 86 yards in 16 plays to the Chiefs 5 yard line, only to have RB Kevin Mack Fumble on the 1 and Kansas City recovered it. However, on Kansas City's first play from the line the Brown's Defense stopped Chiefs RB James Saxon for a 1 yard loss and the Safety to tie the game at 23 all with 1:13 left to play. Cleveland returned the kick to the Chiefs' 45 yard line and marched to the Chiefs' 24 yard line with 1 second left, where kicker Mat Bahr won it with a 41 yard FG. Next week the Browns play the Jets at home and the Chiefs travel to Seattle to play the Seahawks.
