Jets win a shootout over the Dolphins, 41-35

New York and Miami hooked up in a classic AFL/AFC shootout that was not decided until the last play of the game.  Both QB's slung the ball all over the field as defense was virtually non existent.  Ken O'Brien completed 25 of 39 for 409 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Jet's offense.  He was matched by Dan Marino who completed 35 of 53 for 366 yards and 4 touchdowns, but Marino threw 2 interceptions that proved to be costly.  One interception took place just after New York had fumbled at the Miami 15.  The pick by Lester Lyles gave the Jets the ball back at the Miami 3.  Another mistake occurred at the end of the 1st half when Mark Clayton failed to get out of bounds at the NY 3 yardline, costing the 'Fins a short field goal attempt.  Next week, New York hosts the Los Angeles Rams while Miami returns home to face the Atlanta Falcons.
