Bears Move to .500 with 2nd Consecutive Shutout

CHICAGO – Willie Gault hauled in a pair of touchdowns passes as Chicago’s 5^th straight win was never in doubt with a 37-0 drubbing of Tampa Bay (1-13).

Gault grabbed 6 catches for 116 yards. QB Mike Tomczak turned in his best performance of the season with a 138.1 rating. He threw for 209 yards (15-for-22 ) and 3 TDs. He also connected with Keith Ortego for a score in the 2^nd quarter. Walter Payton tallied the first score in limited duty.

The Bears (7-7) evened their record after a pitiful 0-5 start. They finish the season at Detroit and at Dallas.
